NSW State Gravity Enduro Series 2023 Rnd 3 Stromlo ACT
A small team of 2 riders attended the 3rd round of the Aus cycling NSW GE series at Stromlo Act Stromlo is a favorite riding destination for many with a mixture of xc, enduro and downhill trails, the race saw just under 200 riders attending. The weather was a mixture from 4 degrees at 8am to a tropical 18 degrees out of the wind.
Blake Randall, Elite E-Bike
It was another epic weekend racing bikes, I grabbed 3rd place in the Elite E- Bike class, after 3 weeks of the bike with some broken ribs, this race was brutal. Some much needed training with the help from Dan @Dan Smith - MTB23 will be happening before the next stop!
Mathew Edwards, Elite E-bike
This weekend, i mixed it up a little as i had an offer to race an E-Bike from the team @VMG bikes Typhon Enduro Electric Mountain Bike Australian designed, This was the 1st time i have ever raced an E-bike and i was unsure what to expect, and just to make it a little more challenging i decided to enter the Elite class with some fast young riders. On Saturday we had the E-bike stage, this was brutal with what felt like a climb straight up a cliff with some boulders to scramble over. i was pleased the hear the i was only 1 of 3 riders to clear the most technical features with most of the racers jumping of and walking the features. Unfortunately for me i was held up by another rider near the end that cost me some valuable time. Sunday saw us racing the same stages as the rest of the field and was a mixture of technical decents with some cross country peddling mixed in. The day went smoothly enough with no issues and saw me finish in 4th place. A big thanks has to go out to Chris at VMG bikes for letting me ride his awesome machinery.
